MCH Doctoral Epidemiology Fellowship
Our MCH Doctoral Epidemiology Fellows have one thing in common: a commitment to building the evidence base and translating data into action for effective surveillance and support of MCH population health at the regional, state, and local level. The MCH Epidemiology Doctoral Fellowship is designed to support pre-doctoral level trainees in Epidemiology with interest in applied or academic work in Maternal and Child Health. The Fellowship provides 1-2 years of an NIH-level pre-doctoral stipend, along with professional development funds to supplement Laney Graduate School Professional Development Support funds.
There is only one required course for Fellows- EPI 508: Maternal and Child Health Leadership Collaborative Seminar (Fall). Fellows are asked to serve as a TA for one of the core courses (e.g. MCH Foundations or Program Management for Sexual and Reproductive Health Equity).

Fellows will be required to use ‘local, state or national MCH secondary data sources’ in at least one aim of their dissertation.
Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. Preference will be given to students belonging to underrepresented minorities.
