MCH Doctoral Scholar Fellowship
The MCH Doctoral Fellowship is designed to support pre-doctoral level trainees in public health and nutrition with interest in academic or applied work in Maternal and Child Health. The Fellowship provides 1-2 years of an NIH-level pre-doctoral stipend, along with professional development funds to supplement Laney Graduate School Professional Development Support funds.
There is only one required course for the Fellowship- EPI 508: Maternal and Child Health Leadership Collaborative Seminar (Fall). Fellows are asked to serve as a TA for one of the core courses (e.g. MCH Foundations or Program Management for Sexual and Reproductive Health Equity).
RSPH doctoral trainees in all departments are eligible to apply.
Applicants must have expressed interest in and commitment to Maternal and Child Health research and programming, and ideally will be in or close to candidacy (e.g. completed qualifying or comprehensive exams and preparing for dissertation proposal).
Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. Preference will be given to students belonging to underrepresented minorities.
