Cindy Rosales received her bachelor’s degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics, and Family Science. Since then, she has worked at the intersection of nutrition and maternal and child health. Before Rollins, through her role with the CDC, Rosales implemented a fresh pharmacy program that provided prescriptions for fresh fruits and vegetables at a WIC clinic in a Latinx community.

During her MPH, Rosales has enjoyed refining her program implementation and evaluation skillset and strengthening her qualitative research knowledge. Over the summer, she served as a Title V intern in MCH for the health department of the Northern Mariana Islands. Though the time difference was large, she successfully completed a gap analysis regarding childhood obesity factors on the islands. Rosales is currently writing a thesis examining the patient provider relationship through perinatal Telehealth services during COVID-19 based on a larger research project she completed with the Emory Global Health Institute. After Rollins, Rosales hopes to continue working on MCH programming in the Latinx community.

Rosales recommends keeping in mind your broader goals for your time at Rollins and taking advantage of opportunities through the Office of Career Development. She also wants to remind students experiencing imposter syndrome that they were accepted to the MPH program for a reason and that they have the skills and passion necessary to succeed.
